Our beloved son, fiance, father, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew and friend, Anthony Poli age 22,  passed away on Feb. 04, 2010.  We mourn his loss, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. But, we know he is at peace and with his Heavenly Father, and long to see his smiling face again someday.

Anthony adored Candace and his two precious little girls Sommer and Makayla. He was a wonderful father. He had the biggest heart ever known and was full of life.  He was fun loving, gentle, sensitive and he cared more for others than himself.

He loved being outdoors. Camping, boating and trips to Fish Lake were his favorite way to enjoy his family. He lived life to the fullest, hunting and snowboarding with his friends and was an excellent fisherman who always caught the most fish.  Good times were had by all who spent time with him.  Anthony was an avid sports fan who could not sit in a room with a T.V. and not watch sports!  He was a fan of the Utah Jazz and BYU football and no matter what, always cheered for the San Francisco 49ers with his brother Nick.

He is survived by his fiancé Candace Applegate and their two daughters Sommer and Makayla; his father and mother, Edward and Patty Poli; brother, Nicholas (Brittany) Poli; sisters, Megan and Sarah Poli; grandmother, Joyce Luttrell; nephews and niece, Braxton,  Seth and Chloe Poli, Brayden and Boston Applegate, and Luke Behunin; future father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Cynthia Norman and Kirk and Suzanne (their children Hailey and Braxton) Applegate; his hunting buddy, Chris (Crystal) Applegate and many loving uncles, aunts, cousins and family members.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 10, 2010, 12:00 p.m. at the Midvale East 5th Ward, 240 East 7570 South.  Friends and family may call Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 S.) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and the day of the service at the church from 10:30 to 11:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations on behalf of his daughters Sommer and Makayla will be greatly appreciated in Anthony Poli’s name at any branch of Zions Bank.

We are so sorry to hear of your lose. We understand the unbearable pain you are feeling right now. It will get easier but you will never forget. We are not supposed to lose our children it's just not the order of things. Be strong and hold each other close. Anthony was a great guy, always kind and respectful. We are so very sorry to hear of your loss, and our hearts go out to you and your family. But let it be of comfort to you both knowing that this is not an ending, but a begining. As it's said that one thousand years on earth is mearly one day in heaven, so our separation from one another is not as distant as it feels down here. Our Prayers are with you and that you find strength from your Faith in the Lord and knowing he knows what he's doing. Take care of one another and cherish every moment we have here.

To Ed and Patti, I am so sorry for you loss. I only met Anthony on Christmas when he brought Seleena over but he seemed like a great person. Take care of each other and the rest of your family. Love the Pieps and Kelleys

Poli family, I was shocked and saddened when my parents told me about Anthony. I remember so many good and funny stories him and I have. Like I got married to him in 5th grade. We always sat near each other at school because our last names are close. We went snowboarding together and were really good friends. I wish I could have been there at ther funeral. I feel like I missed my entire family that used to attend the 5th ward. I know I missed having you guys there. I hope that his fiance and children are finding there way through these hard times. I love you and miss you all. I'm so sorry again and I hope You all will be okay. Love Rebecca (& Steven Young- My Husband. You will get an invite to the reception)
