Cannon Mortuary is a family owned funeral home and has been in operation since 1981.

Don Cannon, owner, is a native Cottonwood Heights resident, attending local schools and being an active member of the community.

   After spending time in Cariboo, Maine working with the local funeral director, Don returned to Utah with a desire to work in the funeral industry. Upon completing his apprenticeship, Don attended and graduated from the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science becoming a licensed funeral director. Don and Jackie Cannon purchased the building that would become Cannon Mortuary in June of 1980 and spent the next year working side by side remodeling Meyers Mansion into Cannon Mortuary. Since that time, Don and Jackie have worked together serving the members of the community with their funeral needs. Brett Cannon, their son, has now completed his schooling in Mesa, Arizona and has joined as a licensed funeral director at the mortuary.
